about
People experiencing homelessness are forced to live in public spaces, in tents, in vehicles, in emergency shelters or in other hidden places.
And the problematic phenomenon of rising rents vs. affordable housing affects us all.
We are all in this together.
And at the same time, we are also a part of these systems and structures.
Graham, Richard and Theo share their valuable thoughts, experiences, and stories from their perspectives as experts, activists, humans and as our common neighbors.
`we share this view` is a sound piece that comes in two parts: an A-side and a B-side. The sound piece is both an extension of Selma Gültoprak`s solo show `and their eyes became sharper`, which took place in Cologne, Germany, at Martinetz in 2021; as well as an independent body of sound and word, standing on its own and framing the necessary messages of Dr. Graham Pruss, Richard Brox and Theo Henderson to all of us.
`we share this view` consists of curated excerpts of interviews Selma Gültoprak held in 2021 (as part of her research) and a 22 min long composition that musician and artist Ascan Delarber wrote and recorded for the project.
